5 charged in Laucala Beach aggravated burglary case

Three men and two juveniles have been charged by the Southern Division Task Force for their alleged involvement in an aggravated burglary at a business premises in Laucala Beach.

Police say the group allegedly broke into a property owned by a man in his 50s on Thursday and stole assorted items valued at over $4,000.

A team was formed, pursuing leads where the five were arrested and all stolen items recovered.

The two juveniles involved are both 17 years old.

All have been charged with one count of aggravated burglary and one count of theft each.

They will appear in the Nasinu Magistrates Court tomorrow.
